Certification to Equipment and Lines

Do you realise who’s responsibility CE Certification of an existing line is, when installing a new piece of equipment into this line, even if the equipment is supplied with a CE Certificate? Did you realise that the line even needed certification?

Answer
The responsibility is yours. In essence the equipment may be supplied with a CE Certificate or Certificate of incorporation , this means that it is safe to be used on its own, However when installing it into a line new hazards may be created and a new risk assessment and certificate are needed.
