Machine Testing LVD/EMC

Normally due to the high costs involved with EMC testing and the facilities required to carry out the required testing, many manufacturers of equipment and rebuilding workshops choose to omit these tests opting for a simplified EN60204 test prior to machine delivery and rely on proven design methods and component selection to give the required level of EMC compatibility.

As well as being able to design build and carry out alterations to electrical control systems, TPW Engineering Consultants Ltd are also able to offer an LVD/EMC testing service to determine compliance or indicated compliance with the standards EN61000-6-2:2005, EN61000-6-4:2007 and EN60204.

Testing can take place at your premises if required and is carried out using high quality computerised equipment that can enable the issuing of comprehensive test results and when combined with Machinery Directive requirements, ultimately the issue of a CE certificate proving compliance.

Tests carried out include:

Conducted and Radiated Emissions to EN55011:2007
Electrostatic Discharge Immunity to EN61000-4-2:2009
Radiated RF Fields to EN61000-4-3:2006
(where practical)
EFT/Bursts Immunity to EN61000-4-4:2004
Surge Immunity to EN61000-4-5:2006
Conducted Immunity to EN61000-4-6:2009
Magnetic Field Immunity to EN61000-4-8:1994
Supply Interruption and voltage dips (<16A) to EN61000-4-11:2004
Mains Harmonics Testing (<16A) to EN61000-3-2:2006
Mains Flicker testing (<16A) to EN61000-3-3:2008
Mains Flicker testing (<75A) to EN61000-3-11:2001
Residual Current to EN60204
Earth Continuity to EN60204
